· If you would like to order or buy using a method not mentioned here, please ask us, we will consider it.
If some of our conditions seem too strict, we apologise. This is due to a few dishonest people we have already encountered.
(People sending for a painting to use for a dinner party and then send back, and various internet frauds.)
Quick Overview
1. Send email or telephone, stating which painting(s) you would like, where you live and chosen method of shipping and payment,
and whether you want the package insured or not. N.B. If the package is not insured we are not responsible for loss or damage
during transit.
2. When possible, you will receive a reply within 2 - 3 working days stating if the work is still available, and if so
the total cost including post/shipping, packing and insurance if required.
3. Send payment by Pay Pal, bank transfer or personal cheque in GBP. £ (sterling)
4. When payment is received and cleared, the painting(s) will be shipped within 2 - 3 working days, unless otherwise
stated.
When the painting(s) arrive, please send confirmation of receipt of arrival, condition and your satisfaction, (or not),
with the painting(s) within 48 hours. If we do not hear from you within this time frame we will consider this transaction
closed, and as such the records will be archived.
Terms & Conditions
1. Ordering
· We have no "buy it" button. This is to avoid disappointment in case the painting has just been sold or we
are waiting for payment to clear. If you are interested in buying a painting(s), please send an email, and we will let you
know if it is still available. This is not considered an agreement to buy until you state you are buying the work.
· If you are looking for a particular type, please ask. We have paintings other than those on the site, and may have what
you are looking for.
· As Lou paints various subjects you can send us a "wish list". The next time Lou paints that type, I will email
you an image of that painting before we offer it for sale, giving you first refusal. This offer is only valid for 48 hours,
after which, the painting will be on sale to the public.
2. Monthly Instalments
· We do accept payment in monthly instalments. No interest will be charged, providing you meet any bank/ Pay Pal fees
we incur. (If you pay in one instalment, we only have one money transfer charge, and that is included in the price of the
painting.) These payments can be any reasonable length. · Failure to pay one instalment or late payment, results in forfeiting
any money already paid, and possibly the rights to buy the work, (At our discretion).
· Once the price of the painting(s) and postage + expenses, has been paid in full and cleared, it will be shipped within
two working days, unless otherwise stated.
· If you change your mind part way through the payments, you will not be charged the rest, but there will be no refund.
As we only have one of each work, we may have turned down another sale for this piece, because you had promised to buy it.
3. Deposit
· A deposit of 30% (+ expenses of £5)will secure a painting. The remainder to be paid in full within 30 days, in one bulk
payment, unless otherwise agreed.
· Failure to pay, or to meet the deadline results is forfeiting any money already paid, and possibly the rights to buy
the work, (At our discretion).
· Once the price of the painting(s) and postage, has been paid in full and cleared, it will be shipped within two working
days, unless otherwise stated.
4. Paying
· Payment in GBP£ (sterling) and Euro €
· We accept Pay Pal
· Personal cheques in pounds Sterling or Euro only
· Bank transfer
· For other methods of payment please contact us.
· We do not accept credit card payments due to the number of Internet credit card payment frauds. Sorry.
· Payment to be sent within 48 hours of purchase, otherwise we will assume the sale is cancelled.
5. Refunds
· Due to the nature of our product, (we only have one of each otherwise they would not be "original paintings"),
we do not give refunds. Once you agreed to buy the work, this is binding. If you change your mind, circumstances change, or
for any other reason you wish to withdraw from the sale, we will not ask for the rest of the money due, (in the case of monthly
payments or deposits), but any money already paid, will not be refunded. We may have refused to sell this work to another
client based on the agreement we have with you.
· Once you have received the work, if you feel it is not as described, and are prepared to explain to us why you feel
this way, we will discuss a refund of the money paid for the painting. In this case shipping the work back to us will be at
your own expense.
6. Commissions
Lou does accept commissions on the following conditions;
· If this is from one of your own photographs, the photo must be clear, and the image easily seen.
· If he feels he can deliver the work within a reasonable time limit. If he has a number of commissions already, he may
suggest you contact another painter.
· Providing the subject you are proposing inspires his creative productivity., You may feel your rubbish bin is very
exciting, but if Lou does not feel the same way, the painting will lack life and not satisfy him. You would be surprised what
some people want!
· A 50% deposit is required before Lou will accept any commissions. Your house, dog or car may be beautiful, but it is
not something that people other than yourself would be interested in buying.
· Refunds will be given only if Lou fails to complete your order. Once you receive the work, as it has been painted especially
for you, there is no money back clause. If you don't like it, we are sorry, but Lou has dedicated his time to this, and like
any other job, that must be paid.
7. Shipping
· Paintings will only be sent when full payment has been cleared. This is due to the many Internet frauds regarding payment
and clearance of monies.
· Most paintings are on canvas board, and as such, are easy to send. We normally use 1st class Royal Mail or Parcel Force.
· The paintings can also be sent by courier/shipping company.
· Insurance for transit is not included in the price. We will insure the package at your request.
· Anyone choosing not to insure accepts that any damage or loss sustained during transit is their own responsibility.
We are not responsible if you choose not to insure and something happens to the work. We will package the work carefully and
thoroughly, but can not be responsible for how others treat it.
· When the painting(s) arrive, please send confirmation of receipt of arrival, condition and your satisfaction, (or not),

· If we do not hear from you within this time frame, that will be considered to close the transaction, and as such the
records will be archived.
Please note, the photographs are as close to the original as possible, but there will be small differences, usually to
the good, - the paintings will seem more alive, and the colours more vivid. Remember also, how you see them does depend on
the settings on your computer.
